In this article, we outline the steps to take to download statements from your Quickbooks account. For the purpose of XiboTax, we need to download the General Ledger, Profit and Loss and Fixed Asset reports.
Downloading Profit and Loss Report

Log into your Quickbooks account and click on Reports on the left pane. This opens a screen with a list of all the reports that are available to you.
2. Click on Profit and Loss report.
3. Select a Report Period and configure other details such as Display Columns By, Show Non-Zero or Active Only, Compare Another Period and Accounting Method. Once you have done the setup, click on Run Report button.
4. To download the report, click on the Export button and choose Export to Excel. The Profit and Loss report will now be downloaded to a destination folder of your choice.
Downloading General Ledger Report

Log into your Quickbooks account and click on Reports on the left pane. This opens a screen with a list of all the reports that are available to you.
2. Scroll down the list or use the Search bar to look for General Ledger List report. It is available under For My Accountant. Click on General Ledger List to open it.
3. Select a Report Period and configure other details such as Rows/Columns and Accounting Method. Once you have done the setup, click on Run Report button.
4. To download the report, click on the Export button and choose Export to Excel. The General Ledger List report will now be downloaded to a destination folder of your choice.
