  1. How do I generate the draft computation? - Once the Preparer is satisfied with the Client’s response for the OSIs raised, he/she can approve each of the OSIs. Following that, the Preparer can click on APPROVE ALL button in the Workspace tab that validates all the ledger items and generates the Draft tax Computation.

  2. I get an error message that not all OSIs are approved. What do I do? - The system prompts the Preparer/Staff to mark an OSI as approved if the issue has been resolved. However, the Preparer can choose to proceed to generate a draft computation without approving the OSIs.

  3. I get an error message that some amounts on the ledger do not balance with the ledgers on the P/L. What do I do? - The Preparer can change the P/L account for the erroneous ledgers to map to the correct P/L account in order to balance the amounts. The Preparer also has the option to edit the amounts for the ledgers if incorrect amounts have been picked up.

  4. What does the draft computation currently output? - The draft computation currently outputs the full computation for From C or Form C-S, as required.

  5. Is the Draft Computation editable? - Yes, the draft computation can be edited right on the sheet and is saved automatically.

  6. Are all sheets of the Draft Computation auto populated? - No. The sheets that will need manual input are Rental Income Schedule and Interest Adjustment Schedule. The sheets Medical Expense Schedule and R&R Cost Schedule are populated automatically based on labels put in by the Preparer. All Capital Allowance tabs are auto populated based on details filled in by the Preparer for Fixed Assets in the Workspace. Tax Computation tab is auto populated with inputs from Workspace and all the other sheets.

  7. I edited some items in the Workspace but my Draft Tax Computation is not reflecting the change. - When new changes are made in the Workspace after the draft tax computation was generated once, you have to re-generate the draft tax computation (by clicking on the APPROVE ALL button) in order for the changes to reflect in the computation.
