Adding Ledger Lines into the Workspace

In the TaxAssist system, you have the flexibility to add ledger lines separately right into the Workspace. For example, if you have started with only the Profit and Loss statement and would like to add ledger lines only specific to some management accounts, you can batch upload these into the workspace.

To add ledger lines, follow the steps below,

  1. Under the Tax Classifications tab in the Workspace, click on Add GL Lines button

2. Click on Download Template link from the dialog that opens

3. In the template, type in or copy over GL lines that you wish to add. Make sure to match the data to the column headers in the template file. Date must be entered in the format dd-mm-yyyy and no special characters are allowed

4. Save the file

5. Click on Choose File from the Upload GL Lines dialog and select the saved file

6. Click on Upload. You will have to confirm for the ledger lines to be added to the Workspace.

7. If the Management Account you have uploaded into does not exist you will be given a warning. Once prompted, you can choose to add Management Account if you wish or abort the upload.
