User Roles Explained (Enterprise Version only)

The AI.TaxAssist product has a few different roles for the users that have access to the application. These user roles and the permissions for the roles are as described below:

  1. Preparer – Preparer is a main doer role of the assessment and has the right to view and make changes to an assessment and perform eFiling. Preparer cannot raise any reviews or approve final assessments for the client.

  2. Reviewer – Reviewer role represents is the first level of review for an assessment. A Reviewer has the right to view the assessment until it is ready for review. Reviewer can raise reviews and make changes to the assessment while in senior review stage. Reviewer cannot approve final assessments for the client.

  3. Manager – Manager role represents the second and final level of review for an assessment. A Manager has the right to view the assessment until it is ready for manager review. Manager can raise reviews and make changes to the assessment while in manager review stage. Only a manager can send an assessment to client and record client approval or rejection of an assessment.   

  4. FirmAdmin – FirmAdmin role represents the administration role for all assessments. A FirmAdmin has the right to create new assessments, change details for the assessments and assign users to the assessments. FirmAdmin also has the right to delete away an assessment. 

  5. SuperManager – SuperManager represents an oversight role. A SuperManager has the right to view all stages of the assessment preparation process but does not have the rights to edit. 

  6. Client – Client role represents the end client for whom the assessment is being done. A Client role can view all the documents uploaded and the final tax computation. Client can respond to the queries raised.

Note:

  1. Every assessment requires at least two roles, Preparer and Manager. Reviewer is not mandatory.

  2. The role SuperManager is not mandatory to set up.
